Jeff will be returning to John Henry Group as Group HSEQ Director.

Jeff brings over 30 years’ of construction and engineering experience, working at a senior level on some of the UK’s largest infrastructure and energy projects.

Jeff started his early career in the military on mobile radar as an engineer, before settling in Norfolk after his final posting.

After returning back to civvy life in 2000 Jeff worked in civils / groundworks undertaking deep utility works and housing projects. In 2005 he decided to change direction and dip his toe in health and safety.

Working predominantly in the planning & preconstruction phases he enjoyed the design risk management disciplines and was fortunate enough to work on Crossrail (Elizabeth Line) twice (major utility diversions up to 400kv & running tunnels), HS2, Tideway Tunnel and Network Rail Alliance.

To further broaden his experience in regulated industries he has worked on nuclear new build projects; Wylfa Newydd and more recently Sizewell C.

Jeff first joined JHG in early 2019 as HSEQ Director and developed Home Safe our vision for getting our people home unharmed every day. He worked with the business guiding us through the pandemic ensuring we had suitable arrangements in place to keep working safely and effectively.

Whilst Jeff has been away, he has gained some great experience back in nuclear and defence sitting on the Amentum Internation Executive Team , and more recently on the Jacobs Nuclear Power Programmes SLT.

When not at work, Jeff spends time with his wife, Emma and 3 grown up kids and 2 dogs. His daughter Megan who was married this year was a special moment, and he’s spent great times watching sons Harry and Harley play footy. He also enjoys watching football, cricket and playing golf.

Jeff’s son Harry and niece Beth both work for JHG on the VM contract so he’s excited to be supporting the intended growth including our new Business Unit ‘Major Projects’ where Jeff’s experience in POWER (HV) will be invaluable, securing great futures for the wider JHG family.
